I spoke with Ed Byrne who is a former Assistant City Attorney for the City of Boulder, was a member of the Boulder Daily Camera’s Editorial Advisory Board, and runs a private law and mediation practice specializing in land use and development-related permit approvals. Ed and I met downtown and set up folding chairs in front of the county courthouse building just off of the Pearl Street Mall. I am excited to share this conversation because it is filled with hope for a better Boulder and many good ideas about how to get there. I admire Ed for his passion to make Boulder more climate friendly with walkable neighborhoods and multiple urban centers. I am grateful that we have long-time residents like Ed who have imagination about how our city could be more beautiful with better land use patterns and more inclusive housing policies.
