For episode 29, I spoke with Jennifer Fluri who is a Professor of Geography at the University of Colorado at Boulder and co-founder and co-director of Boulder Affordable Housing Research Initiative also known as BAHRI. I became aware of Jennifer’s work from the Boulder Housing Equity Symposium which took place about a year ago. A few weeks before we met for this interview I asked Jennifer for some reading materials so that we could do a deep dive into her work.  She sent me back a pile of reports generated by BAHRI and an academic paper that she co-authored with Abby Hickcox, Shae Frydenlund, and Ridge Zachary called “Accessing racial privilege through property: Geographies of racial capitalism”.  It is a thought provoking paper and it became the primary focus of our discussion.
