For episode 54, I interviewed Hep Ingham who is a concerned citizen living east of the Boulder Municipal Airport and is frustrated with his aviation enthusiast neighbors.  We talked about the dangers of breathing lead nanoparticles and the Reed-Hillview Airport lead study which showed the harmful effects on children living near an airport similar to ours.  We also spoke about pilots who don’t follow flight path rules, the impossible task of getting federal bureaucracies to hold them accountable, and the legal challenges around closing our airport among other related issues.  I know Hep through my involvement with the Airport Neighborhood Campaign and admire his thoughtful, no-nonsense approach to explaining issues and his tenacious advocacy for getting lead poisoning out of our skies.  I hope you enjoy this interview with Hep Ingham.
