For episode 55, I interviewed Audrey DeBarros who is the executive director of Communing Solutions which is a regional transportation management organization that serves the Northwest Metro Area including Boulder. She is also running for elected office as an RTD Board member for district O which covers much of Boulder County. We spoke about how Commuting Solutions serves our region, Boulder County’s transit plan named Linking Boulder County, train service to Boulder, structural changes coming to the RTD Board, RTDs comprehensive operational analysis, various efforts underway to improve transit in the region, a new bike share pilot, bike and ride shelters, among other subjects. I appreciate Audrey’s deep experience working with local governments and RTD to help improve transit in our region and I learned a lot about many transit improvements that are coming soon to our region including announcements of getting train service between Denver and Boulder starting in 2029.
